ABS Sheet Extrusion Line

Designed for ABS, HIPS, virgin and recycled materials, this line produces mono-layer or multi-layer sheets for refrigerator liners, luggage, automotive interiors, sanitary ware and industrial trays.

Product Advantages

• An optimized high-L/D mixing screw and precise multi-zone temperature control ensure thorough plasticization at lower temperatures, minimizing yellowing and gel defects while maintaining stable processing of recycled materials.

• The extended cooling and calibration section allows the sheet to release internal stress gradually, reducing uneven cooling, warpage and deformation during storage while improving the finished-product yield.

• Stable extrusion output ensures consistent sheet thickness, a smooth high-gloss surface and minimal surface ripples. The finished sheets offer excellent impact resistance, low-temperature performance and thermoformability.

• The screw, barrel and die are manufactured from wear-resistant alloy steel. A hydraulic screen changer reduces downtime, while the heavy-duty machine structure supports stable, continuous production.

Product Details

  • The ABS sheet extrusion line is designed for producing mono-layer ABS sheets. It can also be equipped with an auxiliary extruder to produce multi-layer co-extruded ABS sheets.
  • The complete line consists of a hot-air drying and feeding system, a high-torque single-screw extruder, a hydraulic screen changer, a coat-hanger T-die, a three-roll calendering and cooling unit, a haul-off and edge-trimming unit, a length-measuring system, a servo cut-to-length unit and an automatic stacking system.
  • The plasticizing and temperature-control systems are optimized for ABS and HIPS materials, ensuring stable extrusion output, consistent sheet thickness, a smooth surface and low internal stress. The finished sheets are resistant to warpage and cracking and offer excellent impact resistance, low-temperature performance, paintability, electroplating compatibility and thermoformability.
  • The line supports virgin materials and recycled production scrap. Sheet width, thickness, output capacity and the number of co-extruded layers can be customized according to the customer’s final product requirements.
